Practitioner
Gary D. Thompson, is an American Board for Certification (ABC) Certified
Prosthetist and Orthotist. He earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree from
the University of Washington in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Gary is also
licensed by the State of Washington as a provider of prosthetic and orthotic
care.
Gary was born and raised in Yakima. After living and working for several
years in California and other parts of Washington State, he is glad to
be back home in Yakima, providing this service to the communities in Central
Washington. Gary is married with four children and nine grandchildren.
His hobbies include skiing, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Gary is a member of the following professional associations:
American Board for Certification in
Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC)
American Orthotic & Prosthetic
Association (AOPA)
American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP)
as well as the Northwest Chapter of AAOP and the Washington State
Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (WOPA).
Advanced Prosthetic and Orthotic Center is an ABC-accredited
facility.

Gary works closely with other medical institutions throughout Central
Washington to ensure the highest level of patient care possible. Among
these companies/organizations are Valley Medical Supply in Sunnyside,
Howards Drug in Selah, as well
as many podiatrists, pedorthists, physical medicine and rehabilitation
specialists, physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons,
neurosurgeons, osteopathic doctors, internal medicine, and general family
